Is the slogan for the former University Don and Vice Chancellor, Prof. Attahiru Jega who has a reputation of being straightforward, just and fearless when it comes to discharging his duties. The Don explained that the dictates of the constitution as far as INEC is concerned will be his guidance and not any individual’s own. He also went further to explain his office’s relationship with the Presidency and the political parties in which he said that not even the president could dictate to INEC as to what to do or how it conducts it’s activities.
‘’ Nigerians will see a positive change in the conduct of elections from the leadership of someone who cannot be bought ’’ Prof. Jega asserted.
Jega knew he had a difficult and tricky job ahead of him, a kind of job where you can never satisfy every candidate especially the losers.
